Robin Donaldson, founding partner of Shubin and Donaldson Architects, Inc. (S+D) graduated UCSB and received Masters of Architecture at Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-ARC) in 1985. Prior to founding S+D in 1990, Donaldson worked for many years with Morphosis and Pritzker Prize winning architect Thom Mayne.

Russell Shubin was born in Los Angeles in December 1960 and studied architecture at California Polytechnic University San Luis Obispo where he received his Bachelor of Architecture in 1985. He also studied at L’Ecole d’Art et d’Architecture at Fontainbleau, France during 1984. In 1988, he completed a master of Business Administration.
Mark was born in Newport Beach in 1973, and received his Bachelor of Architecture at Woodbury University in 1997. He also studied at the Sorbonne University in Paris, France, during 1995. Mark began his professional design career under the tutelage of Anthony J Lumsden. He began working at Shubin + Donaldson Architects in 1999.
Bradford Kelley was born and raised in Hawaii. After receiving his undergraduate degree in Architecture from Washington State University, he relocated to New York City where he began work on several national and international projects with Steven Holl Architects. After four years with SHA, Brad attended Columbia University where he received his Master’s degree in Advanced Architectural Design.

Greg began his career in 1988 as a young draftsman in San Diego. In addition to architectural internships, he accumulated a wide range of experience in the field, including construction, interior design, furniture design and production, and graphic design. Since completing a degree in architecture, he has developed a solid foundation in architectural design, production, and construction and project management.
Born and raised in Chicago, Erik Schonsett relocated to Los Angeles in 2000 to begin his architectural studies at the Southern California Institute of Architecture. After graduating, Erik gained experience in Los Angeles as a project designer on single and multi-family housing projects throughout Southern California. Erik then spent a year working as an assistant project manager for a design build construction company, gaining valuable construction and field experience on multiple commercial projects.

Ilya studied Architecture at the Woodbury University, Burbank CA where he received his B. Arch. degree in 1998. In the last 14 years, Ilya has been involved in a multitude of complex projects ranging from repositioning of existing industrial building to large scale, ground up mixed-use developments.
While attending Kansas State University, Lauren served on the University’s board for National Society of Collegiate Scholars as well as an Architecture Ambassador for the College of Architecture, Planning and Design. She also had the privilege to attend the study abroad program in Castiglion Fiorentino, Italy. After graduation, Lauren headed west to Santa Barbara to begin her career in architecture.
